Town of Whitby welcomes its first Ribfest 2012

This July, Whitby's rib lovers can celebrate locally. The first annual Whitby Ribfest will take place July 13th-15th on the Victoria Playing Fields, south of Iroquois Sports Complex.
Ribfest brings people together for great food, live entertainment, local vendors and midway rides, it's an excellent opportunity to spent time with family and friends.
Although already a popular event in other parts of Durham Region, the first Whitby Ribest is brought to you by the efforts of Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise.
Things to remember:
1. Bring cash, vendors do not accept debit or credit payments. ATM's will be available on site, however having cash on hand will save you standing in line.
2. Leave Fido at home - no pets are allowed on site, being surrounded by a lot of people would make it too stressful for them anyways.
3. Kids love Ribfest! Bring hats and sunscreen, make sure they are well hydrated and stay within your reach.
4. It's not just about the succulent ribs - chicken, pizza, hot dogs and corn are also available. Of course remember to leave room for wonderful funnel cakes and ice cream.
