Keller Williams Realtors Rally for RED in Clarington

Over 130 realtors and support stuff will turn off their cell phones for one day to dedicate their time and energy to paint, clean up, organize and revive a local charity.

RED Day - Renew, Energize and Donate - is a day of giving back to the community, organized by the realtors of Keller Williams Energy Real Estate Brokerage.

In Durham Region, RED Day had first started few years ago with a cleaning of a park. It has now grown to be one of the most important community events for the brokerage, in addition to the annual Turkey Drive in December.

This year’s focus of the annual initiative is Bethesda House – shelter for abused women and their children.

Located in Bowmanville, Bethesda House, provides temporary shelter to women escaping domestic violence. On average 6-7 women and their children stay in the shelter every month.  In addition to the temporary housing, Bethesda House also offers help through its various outreach programs.

Energy has big plans for Bethesda House, including painting the bedrooms, offices and common areas, new flower beds, yard work, playground, as well as raising funds for the shelter through car wash and clothing drive.

In the last two years RED Day efforts helped revitalize Feed The Need in Durham and Cornerstone Community Association in Oshawa.
